MD. ASHIKUR RAHMAN
Mohammad Ashikur Rahman is the Junior Partner of Farooq & Associates. He graduated from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle, United Kingdom in 2011 with a Bachelor of Laws Degree. Following this, he completed his Bar Professional Training Course in 2012 and was called to the Bar as a Barrister of the Honorable Society of Gray’s Inn, London. He also holds a Master of Laws Degree in Corporate Law from Northumbria University, Newcastle. He is currently practicing as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and has more than 10 years of professional legal practice.
Ashik has the unique experience of working in leading law firms in Bangladesh. He has an impeccable record of dealing with clients and has credentials in advising local and foreign clients in various sectors, inter alia, Power and Energy, Corporate and Commercial Law, Telecommunication, Aviation, Admiralty, Mergers and Acquisitions, Banking and Finance, Labour Law, Securities Laws, Taxation, and Litigation.
Ashik advises a wide range of clients, including the International Finance Corporation, Baker & McKenzie, Deloitte, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, Ernst & Young Law, Dentons, PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited, Allen & Gledhill LLP, Trilegal, AZB & Partners, among others.
Ashik comes from an entrepreneurial family and he is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
